Ok this brings bread to a whole new level. I find stuffing my bread full of bacon, cheese, garlic and herbs divine.
The ultimate sandwich, that when is still oven warm, will be hard to match and be irresistible.
To make this you will need to follow the instructions I give here in my simple bread recipe. Follow everything up to folding the dough just before you place the dough on the tray.
Now jump in here and you will need the following extra ingredients:
- A slice or two of bacon rasher
- Finely chopped garlic (one clove)
- Block of your favorite cheese (no too much as it will erupt whilst baking)
- A teaspoon of finely chopped rosemary
- Powdered oregano
- Salt and pepper
Step 1: Garlic salt
In a bowl add your finely chopped garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper.
Step 2: Loading the dough
Take your dough ball and flatten it.
Add some of your garlic salt.
Now sprinkle some oregano.
Your cheese
Finally, sprinkle your bacon.
Step 3: Folding in
This is easier than it looks. Just pull out an end, like in the picture and fold it over.
Then fold then next piece...
Repeat.
Finally it should look like this.
Now place this on your baking tray. Make sure you have dusted it with flour before hand. This is to avoid sticking to the tray. Let rise for at least an hour.
Step 4: Baking
Preheat your oven to around 400F or 210C. Then place your bread in the middle of the oven for a 20 minutes bake. Just follow my simple bread recipe.
You might noticed that of the course of the hour, that your bread is opening up. Having folded the bread the way you did, as it rises, will open up. This is normal.
Bake for 20 minutes and don't open the oven door until the end. Don't forget to let you bread cool for at least 20 minutes.
Et voila....

I would make it, hopefully satisfying, maksih top science posts
super easy to make, you can use any ingredients (most) instead of what I proposed today.
Looks like a good one to try. Thanks for sharing.
your welcome @steemrover . I will be posting many more.
I need to try baking with fillings. I'm kind of afraid of it as I haven't really ever added anything other than seeds.
I wouldnt be afraid and you will not regret it.
