Aloha Steemian foodies, I hope you had a great week so far!
Today I'd like to share one of my very favourite vegan spreads with you guys. It is made of kidney beans and smoked paprika powder and reminds of the typical german "liver sausage" - but this is the healthy & cruelty free version of it. Enjoy!

Ingredients (for 300 g)
- 250 g cooked kidney beans (1 can)
- ½ small red onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2-3 tbsp smoked paprika powder (or to taste)
- ¼ tbsp salt and fresh pepper (or to taste)
- optionally 2 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes and other spices and herbs of choice like marjoram
Instructions
- Peel onion and garlic, chop and sautée in a pan for a few minutes.
- Drain the kidney beans and place it in a food processor together with the cooled off onion and garlic.
(Alternatively use an immersion blender to mix.) - Add the spices and mix until smooth. If needed, add some drops of water.
- Fill in a glass and consume within a week.
