As promised, I am here with the second part of my Turkish Experience. Are you ready?
Kadıköy. Kadıköy. Kadıköy. One of my favourite parts of Istanbul. Just 15 minutes by ferry and you are in ASIA! 🍱
⛴ Believe it or not, 15 minutes really do make SUCH A HUGE DIFFERENCE! People here are different. It seems that they have their own culture and their own habits, it seems that they even breathe differently. Yes, the main reason why it is so, is that here you can only encounter locals. 🏩
We head to one of the places that sell halva (sweet usually made from tahini (sesame paste) or other kinds of nut butter). 28 TRY (4.8 Eur) for one kilogram of this joy. ♥️
If you are just as fancy as I am, you should get some with rose syrup or with pieces of various nuts and berries.
We walk around. We meet up with friends and head to this lovely place. And the rest is history...🙊
N'ah. Joking. The rest is the greatest dinner ever.🤗
We eat like we have not had anything for a year. But... this is Turkish fault. They just keep bringing us foods. First, they start bringing us salads and marinated onions and spreads... then they bring us bread and finally meat. This is again, very DIY dinner, but can something be better than that?
After we are unable to move again, we head to finish off with something super special.😍
This is künefe, it is a crispy cheese-filled dessert made with loads loads of love. ♥️ So much love that, to be honest, one can not handle. This piece you MUST share with someone else, otherwise, you will... explode. I am super serious, guys, you have to SHARE IT.🎇
Now I am back home, sitting at the couch and writing this post. I have Turkish sweets and a lovely cup of Turkish tea and can not help but unconsciously search for flights back...
