Char Kway Teow is called "stir-fried ricecake stripes" literally, which is a popular dish in Singapore and Malaysia. It is originally from Chaozhou or Teochew, an area in Guangdong, China.
The ingredients include rice noodles, soy sauce, chilli, shrimp paste, blood cockles, prawns, chives and bean sprouts. Eggs, fishcake and Chinese sausages are commonly stir-fried together as well as pork lard. The most famous Char Kway Teow is from Penang, Malaysia.
It is so easy to find in Hawker centers everywhere. However, stir-fried food is always unhealthy because it contains high saturated fat. Don't eat it often.
