Hello my names Joe and I'm new on steemit.
I thought for my first post I'd show you guys what I put together on the weekend.
(Recipe to follow)
I started with a nice dry rub and set those bad boys on the grill. I put the flame on indirect heat and kept the temperature low around 200-250 F. I tossed some wood chips in there to get a nice smoke flavour started.
After about an hour and a half I grabbed some tinfoil, garlic, brown sugar and BBQ sauce. Chopped up the garlic and threw it in the foil and covered each rack with a good helping of BBQ sauce and a sprinkle of brown sugar. Then I kept them wrapped up for another 2 hours at around 250F.
Then I pulled them out of the foil for the last half hour (ohh they were juicy!) put them back on the grill and basted them thoroughly with more BBQ sauce.
They turned out great I'll be definitely making them again soon.
Happy BBQ season! 😎 🍗
Joe
Rub recipe:

2-1/2 tablespoons black pepper
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons onion powder
1/2 cup paprika
Blend the ingredients together one at a time to prevent clumping.
Welcome on here! What BBQ are you using? I am a fellow bbq lover. Do look up my bbq posts on here as well!
Thanks I will.
It's just a sterling 2 burner nothing too fancy lol.
Next time I think I might try cooking them with charcoal...
Oh charcoal is the way to go believe me!
Sounds great!! Do you make your own BBQ sauce too or use commercial?
I love to make own when I have the time. :) This one sadly was store bought lol.
Would love for you to share your recipe for homemade BBQ sauce.
