Tonight I made one of my favorites, Beef Stroganoff!! I took a bunch of pictures and gifs so I could share with you.
I don't know what it is about beef stroganoff, but it's so good to me. I eat 3 helpings and can't stop eating it! Oh, just me?
So here's my"how to" on making beef stroganoff:
Start out with a cheap cut of marbled beef. I choose based on current sales. Today I used beef chuck. Nothing fancy to see here. 👋
You'll need egg noodles. I'm using two different kinds because that's what was in the pantry.👍😜
Boil the noodles according to the directions on the package.
Season the meat. All you need is salt, pepper and garlic powder. I like to use this Badia Complete seasoning. My sister pointed out that it has MSG, Monosodium glutamate, and says I shouldn't use it. But I do what I want! 😎. That's probably why it tastes so good.
Let it snow! Coat lightly with flour. I hope you don't need measurements. I don't really do those.
Mix to cover all the meat.
Wash yo hands!
Brown meat. Mmmmm...
Add 2 cans of cream of mushroom condensed soup. Lower heat.
Stir in a large spoonful of sour cream. This is the most important step. Seriously.
Add strained noodles.
Plate with utensils that look like construction equipment to try to trick child into eating. Pair with colorful veggies, also in hopes that it will attract child.
Bon appetit!!
I used to dream about the day I would be a stay at home mom (I know, ambitions, right? 😂) and in the countless images that whirled through my head one prominent vision was that of a sparkling clean home and healthy, hearty meals for dinner every evening.
The harsh reality is that the house is always a mess. Trying to clean a house with 2 small children is like nailing jello to the wall. And dinner is nearly pointless. Small children don't eat... much. When I do cook a nice meal I am the only one eating it. And trying to cook a labor intensive meal with a baby yanking at my shirt and a 3 year old jumping off the coffee table is not my idea of a good time. I like to keep it simple, get it done quickly and hope I can eat it before it gets cold.
Thanks for checking out my blog!!
Maybe you can leave a comment with what your favorite quick/easy meal for dinner is 🙂

The sour cream is definitely the second most important ingredient besides beef
You have a point there
I love beef strogonoff, and also the mushrooms. I uses to put Portobello’s on it. Such a great post with your step by step. Looks yummy.
Yes! I love adding fresh mushrooms!! I didn't have any today because life 😬 I hoped no one would notice 😂😂
That looks great!! I've never made stroganoff, I'm not sure why.. I really like it, I guess I've just never thought of making it.
I don't use measurements either. Or cooking times(unless necessary). Hope you guys are feeling better!
It's one of those meals I can make in 20 minutes which is a huge plus in my current world.
We are much better, thanks! Just some lingering snot on noses but that's almost normal for small children 😁
