In Taiwan, the weather has been quite cold and rainy these past couple of days. One of my favorite dishes to eat on a cold rainy day is Hot Pot! Hot Pot is fun to eat with family, because this dish can serve many people, and it is a lot of fun to make.
Traditionally, you share a pot full of broth with your table. Then you can add in all sorts of vegetables and meats to cook. After letting the food cook for about 3 to 5 minutes, it is ready to serve.
(This is asian fried bread. This was probably my favorite thing to dip with the soup)
My cousin, Bao Bao, took me to a fancy Hot Pot Restaurant in Taipei 101! All the dishes were so unusual, and I really enjoyed the presentation of the food. I literally ate until I couldn't move!
(They even cut the mushrooms fresh for you!)
It was so nice to eat with my cousin Bao Bao, and we had a lot of fun catching up! It has been over 10 years since I have seen my family! There was a lot to eat and talk about.
Anyways, I thought I would share this cultural experience with you. What kind of foods do you like to eat from you home country? Feel free to share below!
Enjoy!
love,

This food will not be eaten by the family alone because i am salivating and wishing i can use magic to bring some here. That is the bond of the family. Sharing and loving
I've never tryed the hot pot... I will definitely try if I get the chance... In Norway we eat lots of something we call lapskaus... It's a mix with potato, carrots, all sorts of meat and some spices... It's for the vikings haha... I can assure you we not feel light in the body after eating that... It's not acro or yoga food.. That's for sure... Enjoy family time.. I'm happy for you.. It's a sunshine story. Bless you all ๐
Sounds like a really hearty dish! Mmmm! Been having a blast! How is your trip going? ๐
It's healty but not light food... Lots of protein and carbs .. So we can keep the energy up and be able to work hard in the cold weather... My travel is mostly very good thanks... I bet you have made many magic moments... Memories of a life time... That will be priceless for you... It's that moment we are living for... Right .. Stay safe and enjoy every second sista ๐๐
