in #food7 years ago (edited)

Greetings friends of steemit I hope they are very good, and I had many days without sharing a recipe for desserts and today I took some time to give you the recipe for this exquisite and simple cake that I made of my husband @ Marsella-2007 for his birthday.

Ingredients for the sponge cake

  • 3 cups of wheat flour
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 8 eggs
  • vanilla

Ingredients for the filling and the cover

  • 4 egg whites
  • 4 Parchitas (Passion Fruit)
  • 2 and 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Cornstarch

Preparation

In a glass preferably add the egg whites of the eight eggs and beat with the blender until it rises and we are adding the two sugar rates little by little, spoonful by spoonful so that the mixture does not fall.

Then add the egg yolks along with a tablespoon of vanilla and beat only until joined, once mixed add the wheat flour little by little in a wrap with a palette, and add the mixture in a tray previously greased and floured to take it baked very hot.

For the filling we will use 2 liquefied passion fruit together with 2 cups of water and strain, take to a pot with a cup of sugar and 3 tablespoons of cornstarch and cook until it tastes good and let cool.

Then for the cover we will use 1 passion fruit along with 3 tablespoons of sugar and half a cup of water and we will take the game to make a syrup, in this step it does not remove the seed.

We made a Swiss meringue with 4 eggs and the cup of sugar left over to decorate the cake.

Once the sponge cake is ready and all the ingredients are already cold or natural temperature, we divide the sponge cake and moisten it with a parchita juice to make it softer, fill it with the first mixture we prepare together with the cornstarch, cover it with the decoration we like it with the meringue mix and finally we add the parchita syrup.

And in this simple and fast way we can make this delicious cake that with the citrus touch of the passion fruit (parchita) gives a great flavor to the desserts, I invite you to prepare it and enjoy it.

Note: My language is Spanish, I use the translator to teach them this recipe in English, I hope it has been understood and I apologize if there are errors.

Greetings and blessings
