Mantis shrimp is commonly called "sasamba" or "alupihang dagat" here in the Philippines. But I call it "poor man's lobster" since lobster is too expensive here. This poor man's lobster usually just costs around 100-150 PHP a kilo or 2-3 USD converted. It's kinda cheap but it's seasonal so you can't get it all the time.
The mantis shrimps that we got are kinda small but these are fatties. Paired with rice and some spicy vinegar, this is definitely a winner.

Definitely yummy but don't be fooled by how it taste. These bad boys got a whopping 120 mg of cholesterol per 100 grams of it so always be cautious and eat moderately.
