34. How to feed your child with vegetables? | Translated in (English and Tagalog) | by Kenneth Castro Divina

ENGLISH:

As somebody who was also a child once, if you think back, there are few memories that will stand out. The day you learned how to climb stairs and trees without the support of your parents, your experience in school, a field trip with schoolmates, making a best friend in school.

Then, all the time your parents tried to feed you slimy sticky leaves. And remember your first sip of coffee? Bitter! Eewww...

Chances are now that you’re an adult, you can do what you want, eat what you want to eat and wash your own plate (I hope so). You probably love to drink wine, beer and coffee and you don’t hate slimy vegetables anymore.

So how do we make our children eat or like vegetables? Let us find out one the strategies of hiding vegetables in food. I have my own way of hiding the vegetables so that the children will never notice even their sense of smell will not know it. The only thing that they can smell is the good essence of the food. I will show you how to cook, the procedure and recipe. I hope this can help you.

"VEGETABLE OMELET"

MGA SANGKAP – (INGREDIENTS):

  • 2 eggs
  • chosen vegetable
  • pinch of salt
  • 1tbs oyster sauce

MGA PAMAMARAAN - (PROCEDURES):

ENGLISH:

1. Prepare the bowl and 2 raw eggs. Break and beat the two eggs in the bowl and add a pinch of salt and the oyster sauce and mix well and set aside.

TAGALOG:

1. Ihanda ang lagayan at ang dalawang itlog. Biyakin at batihin ang dalawang itlog at asinan at haluin mabuti at itabi.

ENGLISH:

2. Wash and mince all the chosen vegetables and mix together in a a bowl and set aside.

ENGLISH:

3. Heat oil in a pan at stir fry all the vegetables for one minute (make sure not to exceed one minute).

ENGLISH:

4. After stir frying the vegetables, mix it with the beaten eggs. Add a little oyster sauce and salt, then set aside.

ENGLISH:

5. Finally, heat oil in a pan and fry the egg mixture for two minutes on each side. Make sure that the fire is low so as not to burn it like I just did! Drain excess oil and serve.

ENGLISH:

When you are done, you will definitely smell the nice aroma of your dish! For Filipinos in the provinces, it is nice to pour coffee on your rice and eat the omelette with ketchup.

That looks lovely i have never used oyster sauce i think i will get some!

you can try it sometimes. It give sweetness and additional flavor. But if you do not have, you can use 1 spoon of sugar instead of oyster. That is the tecnique. 😊
