You can buy all sorts of Riceballs at the Musubi Shop. They are selling this famous Spam Riceball here. I don't understand why everybody in Hawaii likes SPAM so much. I bought a Salmon Onigri and a Konbu Onigri. Boy in the USA Onigris are expensive, in Japan you pay around 1 USD, but in the US they start 2.50 USD. So if you ever want cheap Japanese food in Hawaii visit Shirokiya for Ramen, Okonomiyaki, Soba or whatever you want to eat.

Do you like SPAM ???

Thank you for sharing the great post to me. Japan is my favourite travelling place since I could eat many delicious food such as sushi, sashimi and ramen. Also the villiage is really beautiful and I hope I would have a chance to travel around japan.

I wanted to test the Japanese food in Düsseldorf but I saw people waiting for hours to get place in restaurants

haha yes. it is always packed ;) better go to hawaii ;)

👍🏿

nice post with awesome pictures thanks for sharing

I'm glad you were able to make it to Shirokiya. However, I'm sorry you didn't have a better experience with the musubi. Onigiri certainly are expensive in the US, especially when it is so easy to make at home.

no donnt worry everythingn in hawaii is expensive. ;) iw ill inttroduce the best onigiri shop in hawaii sooon ;)

Japan has more people and more food!

i like the second subject.....

Have you noticed all of the different flavours of SPAM they have over there? It's crazy.

I hate spam ;)

As do I. But it is interesting to see that there are 50 flavours of SPAM on the Island.

All nasty.

I just hope that one day I can eat all the japan culinary has to offer me...

I would love to taste Japanese food but i only have a steem token hope it can afford it?

LOL, Spam is the official food group of Hawaii. Nobody really knows why, but it just is.

I thought it was because during WWII spam was easier to get/more affordable and became common in our diets? Like Japanese Spagetti with ketchup.

That's quite possible, thanks for sharing. All Hawaiians that I know and have asked about it, had no clue :)

Ahhh there we go. I must have missed it originally. This place is awesome, I visited a few weeks after it opened and really enjoyed the cheap beers and great food.
