I was walking through my kitchen when the fruit bowl caught my eye, the bananas looked well past there time of being a yummy snack. I didn't want to toss them, it seemed so wasteful! I had never made banana bread before in my life but it seemed as good of time as any to try. I looked up tons of recipes and they all seemed pretty similar. What I ended up with is a mash up of about 5 different ones.
Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup melted butter
cinnamon (optional)
all you need to do is mash up the bananas in a medium sized bowl, then add everything else and mix until all ingredients have blended together.
Grease your baking tin, I used a 9 x 5 and pour your mix in.
Bake at 350 for about an hour. (Once the top looked nice and golden at about 50 min is when I did the first check.) Check with a toothpick to make sure the inside is fully cooked if not add on 5-10 min.
Let cool and enjoy!
I've made this so many times now and adding in dark chocolate chips makes it even more delicious :)
Yum! This looks amazing.
Thanks! I loved how easy it is to make, I'm just starting to dip my toes in the world of cooking
