Ride to Lemang Toki'

in #food3 years ago

Actually, this was my last ride for year 2021. I and few of my friends was at the famous Lemang To'Ki that is located at Bentong, Pahang, Malaysia. The distance from Kuala Lumpur to Pahang is approximately around 70km.

The time taken from KL to Pahang would be around 1 hour to 1 hour and a half of traveling time. I and my friends rendezvous at Petronas in Gombak, before making our move toward Pahang.

We went there at 7 in the morning, and reach at Lemang To'ki around 9am. We did not speed, just riding at a leisure pace. We had our breakfast at Lemang To'ki. We stay Lemang To'ki until 12PM just simply having our chat and enjoying the delicious Lemang sold there.

The lemang price is varied according to the lemang size. It is ranging between 3USD to 7USD. Those price are not inclusive of drinks and the rendang.

Lemang is an Indonesian - Minangkabau traditional food made from glutinous rice, coconut milk and salt, cooked in a hollowed bamboo tube coated with banana leaves in order to prevent the rice from sticking to the bamboo: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lemang

We head back to Kuala Lumpur around 12PM++ and reach there at 2PM. Overall it is a good journey. I for sure will repeat the trip again with my friends this year.

Below is the picture of lemang. But I do not own the lemang pictures, I took it from Lemang To'Ki facebook. I also have included the link to source of the pictures .
