Baso or bakso (meatballs) is a type of meat balls which are customarily found in the cuisine of Indonesia. The meatballs are generally made from a mixture of ground beef and tapioca flour, but there's also a Meatball made of chicken, fish, shrimp or even Buffalo meat. In General, meatballs served and served hot with a clear beef broth soup, mixed noodles, vermicelli, bean sprouts, tofu, eggs and sometimes sprinkled with fried onion and celery. The meatballs are very popular and can be found throughout Indonesia; from cart street vendors to large restaurant. Various types of meatballs now widely offered in the form of frozen foods sold in supermarkets or malls. Sliced meatballs can also be used as a complement to other types of food such as fried noodles, fried rice, or cap cai.
