Hi Dear Steemians, I'll let you try this fried squid ring. Drop your phone and enjoy your family time, maybe over the weekend or for tea time.
My own original recipe.
Prep Time: 10 minutes / Cook Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
1 lb of fresh California squid (small and long squid)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup tapioca starch or cornstarch
1/4 cup of chicken stock
oil to deep fry
Black pepper and salt
Method:
Clean up the squid and cut 1/2 inch long just like a ring,. You can peel the tiny skin or leave it on and you can also keep the head (just make sure that you squeeze out the small ball inside the head, from the side that you cut)
In a bowl, mix all the batter. Add the squid ring into the batter then deep fry into a hot oil until it's golden brown. It's gonna be dry batter.
Serve with your favorite sauce or spaghetti sauce with cheese in it, or just simply sprinkles your crispy fried squid in your salad.
You can add a pinch of chicken powder into the batter if you prefer. I served mine by dipping into chili sauce or spaghetti sauce with cheese in it.
