Ingredients:
1/4 box firm tofu - roughly mash
6 water chestnut - peel and cut to dice
2 dried shiitake mushroom - soak and cut small dice
1/4 cup minced onion
1 chopped fresh garlic

2 tbsp soy sauce
1 teaspoon sambal olek or any chili paste

Method:
Heat 1/2 tbsp olive oil over medium heat. Fry the tofu until golden and set aside. Using the same pan, heat another 1/2 tbsp of olive oil and fry the garlic until fragrant then add the onion. Cook for 1 minute and add the shiitake mushroom, water chestnut, water, oyster sauce, sambal olek, and soy sauce. Then simmer for about two minutes.
In a small bowl, mix 2 tbsp of water and the cornstarch, then add to the pan. Cook until the juice is thickened. Add the fresh basil and transfer onto a serving plate, serve with lettuce.
