A study reveals how much plastic we ingest each meal

Have you ever thought about your meal? Have you ever wondered how free of pollutants? A shocking study revealed that we were exposed to ingesting more than 100 small plastic pieces with each main meal. Scientists believe that the plastic fibers found in home cooked meals did not come with food or cooking environment, but from domestic dust.

Experts warn that plastic particles can damage the lungs, poison the kidneys, and interfere with hormones. It is also believed that the risks to human health are increased as a result of the consumption of fish contaminated with plastic waste in the oceans.

Plastic, which can come from soft furnishings and synthetic fabrics, comes in domestic dust. British scientists have placed petri dishes containing sticky "dust traps" on the table alongside dinner dishes in three houses during meal times.

Scientists from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh found 14 plastic pieces in the dishes, 20 minutes after the meal, equivalent to 114 plastic fibers on a medium-sized dish. They also concluded that the average person swallows up to 68,000 and 415 "hazardous" plastic fibers annually, by sitting down to eat.

The study confirms the spread of volatile plastics in the air, which was revealed by the British newspaper Daily Mail. A study conducted by the newspaper, which launched the "longstanding Turning The Tide" for a long time earlier this month, that the slices of fresh fish exposed At the supermarkets, there are 139 pieces of plastic per 240 grams.

But scientists in Edinburgh compared plastic fibers in mussels, with the average amount of domestic food. They found less than two fine plastics in both mussels, which could be linked to the marine environment. They concluded that the average person may consume 100 plastic molecules a year by eating oysters.
