I want to share with you one of the trainings I took some of the IT students through some time ago.
ORGANIC PESTICIDE. Many people who love to eat fruits and vegetables are now getting scared because of the use of agrochemicals as pesticides on these crops. I will now be sharing fortnightly, different indigenous and organic methods of pest control on crops. In this edition, I will be describing the USE OF PAWPAW LEAVES AS AN INSECTICIDE. I took the undergraduates presently on industrial training (IT) in my office through this. Here are the steps to follow. Pick 12 to 15 leaves of pawpaw leaves. Pound the leaves and put the pounded leaves in a bowl. Add one litre of water to the pounded leaves in the bowl. Cover the bowl and leave over-night. In the morning remove the shredded leaves from the water and sieve. Pour the water (extract) in the spraying tank and spray your vegetables or fruits.
