RE: The First Week of Being Vegetarian??? (Honest)

in #food7 years ago

Congratulations! I went vegan 12 years ago expecting it to be a short lived thing, maybe a week tops. Ended up staying vegan for 4 and then the remaining time alternated between vegetarian and vegan. Then I fell off the wagon a bit recently until my partner went vegan and guilted me back into dropping meat. I actually found it very easy to do and to adjust. It really wasn’t until like a decade in that I began craving meat and I guess it was more like I felt like I was missing out somehow because I love fancy food so much and I just wasn’t going and trying all of these things I hadn’t been adventurous enough to try before I went vegan at 18 years old. So I struggle a bit. But it is the more ethical choice and it can me much healthier (though not always).

Good luck!

Thank you so much.. I definitely understand where you are coming from.. When I was 16 I went on a low carb diet and I was perfectly fine with it for a whole year but then I started to realize that I wasn't going t be able to eat so many things that I would have loved to try, for the rest f my life.. and that was scary!so I ditched the diet completely.. thats not really the same since its not a helpful diet it was just a fad but what I am saying is I understand how that fear of missing out can really be a bother.. The food industry is changing however and hopefully soon more places will start taking it more seriously and there will be even more options out there to experience.. Thanks for the support, and thank you for your comment! All the best to you xx
