My wife@texasbodi and I are prepping for our annual Daytona 500 party. We are having a few friends over to watch the race. The weather is a bit overcast today, with highs in the mid 50's, but we won't let the weather dampen our fun. We are expecting a lively crowd for the race. First item on the menu is Guacamole.
We started with 5 perfect avocados, cut in halves,
added:
Diced Tomatoes, Onions, Cilantro, Fresh Garlic
Seasoned with Black Pepper, Lawrys and 1/2 a Lime squeezed
Mix up in bowl
I always leave 1 guacamole pit in the mix to keep it looking fresh, chill in fridge for 2 hours, ready for party.
Wow, this Guacamole taste so good, delicious. Hope you enjoy this post. Good Luck Race Fans.
Does leaving the pit in the mix do something to keep it from going brown, or is it just for decoration?
My wife @texasbodi tells me it keeps it fresh and nice green color.
I had never heard about leaving the pit! Sounds like a good idea! Ive always just completely covered with saran wrap, making sure to lay flat on guacamole, removing all air. I only have one question... Wheres the jalapeno in the guac! ;)
Not sure if the pit helps or not, my wife says it does. I have added Jalapenos before, but my wife says "no"
Haha! Take it from a wife... wife is always right! Well, it looks delish!
I'd say this race day was a win no matter what the outcome :)
