The Potato Rose
Baked today, this potato rose is a version of the apple rose I did about a few weeks ago . The apple rose had been sweet... whereas, this is the opposite. I used a ready made puff pastry and I added a thin slice of carrot plus a piece of cheddar cheese in the middle. First, I cut the puff pastry into 4 long parts, filled half of the pastry with the thinly sliced potatoes and fold the half pastry and rolled it.
Then , I used muffin forms and covered the whole 4 pieces with aluminum foil to avoid burned potato tips then baked them in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes. I removed the aluminum foil and baked more for about 5 minutes until the tips are golden brown. Can be served for breakfast together with a sunny side egg or as by dish.

Looking good and delish... and it sounds so very easy to make. What I am not sure though if the ready made puff pastry is available here in Manila. Thanks for the recipe.
Thank you for your kind comments. I think if you go to big supermarkets there , they should have it, try Rustan´s Supermarket though and see what they have.

Hallo Anja, habe Blätterteig verwendet. Ich habe immer Blätterteig in d. Kühlschrank damit ich der immer bereits auf alle Fälle falls Besuch unerwartet kommt. Danke , schön dass Du hier bist!
