RE: PLEASE IDENTIFY YOURSELF IF YOU ARE A RICE LOVER!!!

in #food8 years ago

I am a self-professed rice lover. I cannot pretend. I have tried to cut it out as I am more health conscious now and want to reduce carbohydrates. However, I am not doing so well.
I will take responsibility for it - but I will also blame it on my mom - just like you. I am in denial. :) I grew up eating lots of rice in a variety of recipes. And why not? I have even learnt some new recipes as an adult. Rice is so easy to cook and so versatile. I love trying the different types as well. White and wild rice, brown rice, black rice, basmati rice, pandan rice and sushi rice. I tried many types in Asia but I do not know the names. I could get lost in rice heaven. :)
It compliments a variety of dishes so well; meats, lentils and vegetables. What is there not to love. I particularly like chinese fried rice, indonesian nasi goreng, jamaican rice and peas, and indian biryani dishes. Ok I will stop now but it must be clear that I am a rice lover - well a food lover. :) #ricepeople

@momogrow, I am super delighted to welcome you aboard our little community of #ricepeople
Such an interesting story from you and to think that both of us are victims of rice courtesy of our mother's influence. Well, we cannot be in denial that mothers rock!!!
Same here, I have tried several types of rice but non is as dear to me as white long grain rice.

I heard you right that "You can get lost in rice heaven" 😁 😁

Yes, there is absolutely nothing not to love about rice 💯

Loads of interesting things to talk about rice but like you rightly mentioned, let us stop for now as the list is countless 😂
From the bottom of my heart, I am happy to have connected with you my dear fellow rice lover.
Ciao
