It is important to stay hydrated. In addition to water and other healthy drinks, you can eat foods such as cucumbers or strawberries that can contribute to fluid entering the body, helping to prevent headaches and deceleration caused by dehydration.
Research shows that eating foods packed with water helps to consume less calories.
Below we bring you five foods, which contain a large amount of water, and will therefore prevent dehydration:
Cucumbers
With over 90 percent water content, one cup of cucumber is almost equal as one cup of water. Cucumbers also offer fibers and some vitamin C (about 6 percent of the daily value per cup). During this hot season, try to consume as much cucumber as possible.
Green Salad
Part of the reason why two green salad glasses have less than 15 calories is that these greens are more than 90 percent water. They are also packed with nutritional values, such as folate, vitamin C, fiber and beta-carotene antioxidants, which helps keep your eyes and skin healthy. Plus, having a lunch or dinner salad is a great way to feed.
Strawberries
Strawberries contain vitamin C & vitamin B, which is essential for the healthy growth of new cells. And since 91 percent of the strawberries contain water, they will contribute significantly to your total juice consumption. Eat them directly or try them in a new strawberry recipe: they are special in everything from salads to these baked goods.
Yogurt
Depending on your favorite type, regular straight yogurt is 85-88% water (surprisingly, there is more water in full fat yogurt). You will also get calcium, some vitamin B (B12 and riboflavin) and, to be sure you are getting some good probiotics for you, ask for a yogurt bearing the "Live & Active Cultures" seal.
Watermelon
92 percent of watermelon water is a good source of vitamin C and also has lycopene, an antioxidant that can help protect against heart disease and some types of cancer.
Short but useful article...
I LOVE cucumbers. By themselves, in water, in a salad...It doesn't matter. :)
