This food item here I cooked up just recently. It was a Chili that I did on my smoker. The chili itself was a simple but tasteful combination that I fabricated and enjoyed mixing together to come out with this amazing chili. My partner and I are always cooking and coming up with new meal planes and food ideas that change our way of eating. Most of the things we come up with are very health but do not sacrifice taste to go along with being healthy.
This chili was was put together in a cast iron dutch oven and but on the smoker for four hours. Now cooking this was all done natural. Being that the chili was in a sealed dutch oven it gave me the opportunity to use recycled wood as fuel for the fire for cooking. Not only are we trying to live a healthier life but also a less wasteful life by using the supplies we have around us. This chili was cooked using pine wood. I used pine wood due to use having a dead pine tree in our back yard. instead of letting the tree rot to nothing we decided to cut it up and use it for cooking closed in foods such as a chili in a enclosed dutch oven.
Now this chili was wonderful and as time goes by I will release the steps to make it and the ingredients used to reach the perfection that we strive for. Now i know you may want all this information right now but we are working on a cookbook and would like to get the whole thing together and release it as a whole rather then bits and pieces over time.
We hope you enjoy our write up and photos of our mouth watering chili and look forward to hearing from all of you. We do a lot of out preparation and cooking outside regardless of the season or temperature. This chili was cooked out just a few days ago on the smoker at an average outside temperature of 6 degrees. If you are interested in how we do our cooking or preparation just ask and we will share.
