INGREDIENTS..
1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into 2x1-in. strips
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 can (28 ounces) squashed tomatoes
2 celery ribs, slashed
1 medium green pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 medium onion, coarsely slashed
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Italian flavoring
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 cove leaf
1 glass uncooked orzo or other little pasta
1 pound cooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined..
HOW TO MAKE IT..
In an expansive skillet, dark colored chicken in oil; exchange to a 3-qt. moderate cooker. Blend in tomatoes, celery, pepper, onion, garlic, sugar and seasonings. Cook, secured, on low 7-8 hours or until the point that chicken is only delicate.
Dispose of narrows leaf. Mix in pasta; cook, secured, on high 15 minutes or until the point that pasta is delicate. Mix in shrimp; cook, secured, 5 minutes longer or until warmed through. Yield: 6 servings.
