Burger Night ~ Local Food Edition 🍔

Get Ready For Burger Night!!!!

This simple but delicious meal is made from all locally grown or produced food.
Even the sourdough bun was made at the local bakery.
I have to say that pasture fed free range beef from happy healthy cattle is simply outstanding.
Juicy, succulent, melt in your mouth goodness.
I don't think I'd last a week as a vegetarian, it's just not in my DNA.

Once again the cheese is the only non local food, our local dairy industries were killed of by the might dollar years ago. And given the price gouging, horrendous behavior of distributors and the utterly ridiculous globalization of milk productsit might even be the end of the industry in this entire country. *endrant*

I have to wonder just how happy that beef is when sitting on a burger bun :D another fine presentation sir :) I was not near my computer for a few days meetings and sunny day's to enjoy :) thanks for sharing

Wow that does look tasty...

Shame about the lack of local cheese. We are blessed here with lots of local cheese makers - at least five I know of currently within 30 miles.

Any on this site that are anywhere near you?

No, there are some specialty cheese makers in my state but only about four.
On average they are between 7 and 10 hours drive from me. I just try to buy Australian made cheeses as often as I can. I will keep looking though. There might be a hidden gem I've not uncovered :-)

WHAAAAAT no dairy industry soon? You need that raw land and you need to put a cow on it ASAP, or at least a couple of goats.

On a different note, your posts always make me hungry. I'm glad you've found a way to get healthy without all the rules and regulations of fad this and that's. We practice the exact same method in our home.

This comment makes me happy! Smaller portions of better food. Straight up works. My posts are suffering because I'm to busy to put enough time into them.
Although I am keeping my promise to myself that I'll post everyday. That is most important to me right now.
Thank you for your support and your posts are inspirational and set a great standard to work towards. Have a wonderful day my friend :-)

You're very kind, sir.
You'll find the time or find a stride that suits you, I'm sure. I aim to post 5xweek but would love to post every day.
I think you are doing great, look at the rewards you're getting. You must be doing something right. :)
