[FOOD IN KOREA 14] this week in food. strange spaghetti pizza

in #food7 years ago

It's been a slow week after returning from Japan. The summer's not over, but my summer vacation sure is 😢.

At this point, I'm just waiting for the weekend. Le sigh. Here's some of what I ate to fuel myself through the work week. Tuesday dinner:

Actually, I only have this picture of a spoonful of my food. What the hell happened to my picture... Anyways, this is kimchi fried rice. There was an egg on top, which was a nice touch considering eggs are so expensive here now after the AI scare. I've had kimchi fried rice at the same joint before, but this time the dish tasted much better. 👏

Some dishes dining companions had: budae jjigae (army stew), cheese kimchi kimbap, and tuna kimchi kimbap.

On Wednesday night I had carbone pizza. I had looked at the menu without descriptions before realizing there was a more detailed menu on the other side of the restaurant. What resulted was the order of a strange concoction of spaghetti noodles on pizza.

Hello. You may not have heard of me. I'm a mix of marinara sauce, white cream sauce, ham, and spaghetti noodles topped with cheese. Eat me if you dare.

In all honesty, the pizza was surprisingly tasty! The crust wasn't soggy at all and just the right amount of crispy. AKA not abusing your gums crispy. I didn't particularly like the texture of the noodles though...

Some lovely looking dishes right there! Is everyone wearing animals shirts? One says "quack" and the other is "bear on bike", nice!
