Traveling and getting to fill your stomach with the food of the destination in which you arrive is so rewarding.
I think Japan was actually one of the more exciting in terms of food just because of the vast variety and the powerful flavour of their food.
I think I spent like a couple days just eating ramen because there was so much variety!
Also, their curry like in your last picture is amazing, and their breaded meat variety is juicy and crunchy at the same time.
