Hi there my Steemit friends and followers!
First of all, let me wish you Happy Halloween, All Souls´ Day, Dia de Muertos or whatever holiday you have been celebrating in your part of the world these days. I dedicated my yesterday post to Dia de Muertos and I was really surprised by the amazing response from you guys so thank you so much everyone!
The main theme of my today´s post is food but we will still remain in Mexico as this post will be about chili peppers, one of the most famous staples of Mexican cuisine. I always liked spicy food but after spending more than a year in Mexico, my affection for hot chili peppers has been even growing.
I love Mexican jalapenos and habaneros but ironically, it was not until I returned back to my Czech homeland when I finally tasted some really bad guys of the chili world. A friend of mine grows extremely hot chili peppers and he just gave me these:
It should be the Naga Viper cultivar that can reach up to 1.4 million Scoville Heat Units. I ate one of them today and I really thought I was going to die! :D The burning was incredible!
How about you, my Steemit fellows? Do you like super hot chili peppers? What is the hottest you have tried so far? Let me know in the comments!
I have never really tried eating any of the very spicy chilies, but it would be interesting to attempt it once. Maybe I will try to find a nice cultivar to grow next summer! I will definitely stay way below 1.4 million though.
Oh yeah, these chili peppers are fun :) I think your body can actually get used to the hotness of the peppers to a great extent. I remember I could barely handle jalapenos when we first arrived to Mexico and now I conquered this beast of over 1 million SHU ;) Training is the key I think.
Yep, I have heard so as well. It's best to start low and work yourself up from there. Imagine giving that 1M SHU chili pepper to someone who have never tried hot chili peppers before! :P
Haha that would be a painfully unforgettable experience for them :)) I am going to grow all kinds of chilies I can get once we return to Mexico, will keep you guys updated on how it goes :)
Oh, that's cool. I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes :)
V létě mi dala mamka do polévky nepatrný kousek něčeho. Huba mě pálí jenom si na to vzpomenu ;-). Jinak mi stačí náš obyčejný pepř.
Chápu, ne každý má tyhle "požáry v hubě" rád :D
;-)
Neutralizuje to mléko, pokud možné plnotučné a nejlépe smetana.
Ale pivo má po chili odpornou sladkou pachuť ;)
I really like chili especially food in my place called Sambalado it feels really spicy and this is all chili concoction.
I haven´t heard of this food before but I just googled it and it looks good :)
Yes, Sambalado, the food is very tasty and very spicy, eating these foods must immediately approach the water because the spicy taste is extraordinary.
Jako velke su asi cca?
Malé, tak 3-4 cm. Ale stačí miniaturní plátek a hoříš :D
That's engaging and minimal
