Good Afternoon,
Last weekend I wanted an apricot and custard pastry slice but the supermarket didn't have any in, even after I went to two different branches. So I decided to have a look to see what took my fancy and this cake appeared. I've only ever had pumpkin pie once in my whole entire life after a colleague's wife made it. It was scrumptious! So I thought I'd give this a go as we don't get hardly any pumpkin treats in the UK.

Pumpkin Spice Cake, Autumn Edition, Taste the Difference 330g
"Pumpkin cake topped with cream cheese buttercream and dusted with cinnamon."
The cake was a little bit dense, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it. I didn't realise int was cinnamon on top. It tasted like nutmeg to me. The frosting was nice and the cake had some spice to it but very mild. I can't believe this had 6 aromatic spices in it though. It really didn't taste like it did. My husband thought the cake tasted like carrot cake. I didn't get carrot cake. I got the flavour of a mild eggnog.
A nice cake, but definitely needs the spices cranked up a lot! It didn't stop me finishing it though. My husband had 1/4 and I had the rest... whoops. It was the weekend though!
