Throwback Foodtrip while doing Water Fasting

in #food7 years ago

This is such a challenging post for me. You'll know why later.

I started water fasting in March and I am on my sixth day now (March 6). Water fasting is basically just drinking plain water. No food at all. I was planning to do a 30-day water fast but reading about it more and examining how I feel now, I will probably just do a 7-day pure water fasting and spend the rest of the month liquid fasting with minimal calorie intake. Or maybe 7-day fast then one day rest then 7-day fast again. Let's see how it goes!

As you probably read in my previous posts, I have been struggling with my weight since time immemorial. I lost some pounds during the weight loss challenge I joined, then gained back half the pounds I lost in Christmas. My weight has been fluctuating gain-lose over these past 2 months. For this reason, I wanted to try this water fasting and see how far I can go. I have done it before but only up to 3 days. At the same time, I was challenged by @siningniviola to do it with him. I love challenges and would never back down. He has been doing it for 2 or 3 weeks already and lost a lot of weight already so I was inspired so much as well. So far for me, it has been good. I am not craving for food and I feel like I have lost a lot of weight already. I will know when I get to weigh myself soon. I will just post the result in the comments.

However, this post is not about my water fasting. This post is a torture for me because I shall be posting about food. I don't know why I am doing this but that is just me at times; I want to challenge myself and push myself to my limits. So here goes...

A few days ago, I was fortunate enough to enter an exclusive subdivision in BGC (Bonifacio Global City) in Taguig City called Acacia Estates. I rarely get to go to these type of places but thanks to @steemitmanila friends, I was treated in a night of food tripping. Oh my, speaking of tripping, I did trip that night and went floor diving! I am okay but some people had a blast laughing at me, including the people in the supermarket. I am happy to make them laugh though. Hahaha!

We wanted to get some coffee and found ourselves at Acacia Estates Town Center. We only saw one coffee shop called Brewhilde Coffee. (Note: This is not an advertisement post, just sharing my experience.) When we saw the menu, we instead opted to eat. We still got some coffee though, in the form of their blended espresso-based drinks.

They were serving steaks and burger, couldn't decide between the two so we got both. We also could not what type of steak so we also got two, the porterhouse and t-bone steaks.

Me and my steak

Instead of rice with the steak, I got mashed potatoes, and it was awesome. It was creamy and buttery, with a little gravy on top, just the way I like it. Unfortunately, I devoured it too fast and forgot to take a picture.

Bacon Mushroom Melt

The Bacon Mushroom Melt Burger also tasted great as well. Thumbs up for delicious menu and awesome service! The place, however, closes at 9pm so we opted to transfer to another place that was still open.

There was only one place that was open and it was called Wingman. We had a heavy meal so we just ordered some appetizers. We first ordered their Curly Cut Fries with Garlic Parmesan.

I love cheese and you can really taste the parmesan and garlic in the fries. I even scraped off the garlic parmesan leftovers on the plate.

The place's specialty is their chicken wings so we also ordered some, similarly with garlic parmesan. I had bottomless blue lemonade for drinks.

True to its name, Wingman wings tasted amazing. Even the accompanying blue cheese dip was delicious. Now we know what to order in case we come back to this place.

The place had a sports bar vibe with TV screens showing sports shows, sports jerseys displayed on the walls and they even had a pool table inside. If we came there to drink, we would have ordered their one-liter mugs of local beer but then maybe next time. Hahaha!

Overall, I really had fun, was full satisfied with the food, and had wonderful friends for company. What more could I ask for? Now, I shall conclude torturing myself and go back to my water fasting. I feel like I want to go back there though. Soon, I wish. I hope you enjoyed reading and your mouth watered with the sumptuous food I shared. Thank you for your time, and for your upvote, resteem and comments. Truly appreciated.

Wow you made me hungry! That food, and the place, look really nice. Now I want a hamburger too!

So I just weighed myself and I am ecstatic to report that I lost 9 pounds already in less than a week. I shed a @teardrop because my weight now is my lowest weight in 16 or so years!!! Water fasting is awesome! Thank you Sir @siningniviola for the challenge and Ms. @janicehung for the inspiration!

I salute you @princesslilo for the commitment you have. I tried water fasting before, too, for 5 weeks, but only 3 straight days per week. It’s hard especially when there are yummy food all around. I support you in your goal of getting fit. I saw that you already shed some pounds. Keep going!😀

Hi princess yeah thanks for the help....nice photos

Thank you as well!
