Morels as big as my Dreams!!!

in #food8 years ago

Check out these delicious bad boys I found the other day.

Fresh after a rainstorm, these beautiful delights popped up and I snatched them while they were still moist and delicious.

You only have about 24-48 hours before a Morel gets sun scorched and inedible (unless you want Morel jerky, lol).

A lovely dinner of Morels in a succulent garlic and butter sauce. A special treat from the forest!

Shoot dang! I hit the burn areas near me but it was still cold so everything i picked up was rather small. I still pulled in a couple pounds though. It warmed up but now its too dry.

I found these right after a rain and they were just perfect. It's hard to find them in such form!

Oh yes. You have certainly hit the jackpot. Mushrooms hunters never give up the pursuit of this delectable food. And you have something to get excited about.
Do we see any envy here. Just asking. Ha

That's awesome. I'm sure they were great. I have a few oyster mushrooms to cook up. Thanks for the inspiration of how to cook them.

I found a bunch of oysters and made a good meal out of them. Very meaty!

That's some good mushroom #foraging and eating! Local weather makes all the difference from year to year. If only every year was like that -- those are some good-looking morels.

They were fantastic.

With mushrooms as good as your morels, cooking them simply is the best, I think. Yours really look delicious and would really highlight the morels. No drowning them in sauce or cheese! Here's to many morels, every year!
