If there is one recipe that I have been obsessed with since I started to be more into plant-based food was Brownies. Brownies have always been such a thing for me. It is my number 1 recipe I could have some bite every day I think.
This one is just perfect: the balance between the sweetness of dates and the bitterness of the raw cocoa make it absolutely wonderful.
Walnuts have shown to be the healthier nuts. They have the highest amount of antioxidant and omega3 comparing to any kind of nut. They are the winner. They have great benefits particularly for preventing cancer.
In addition to that, the raw cocoa powder and dates will totally boost our system and give a real kick of energy to us without leaving us feeling heavy or crap.
INGREDIENTS
Base :
40g raw cocoa powder
100g walnuts
150g Dates (soaked for 10 minutes)
Chocolate Ganache :
100g dates (soaked overnight)
24g raw cocoa powder
20g coconut oil
METHOD
Put the walnuts into the food processor.Process until you obtain a flour.
Add the dates and the raw cocoa
Blend until everything is very well combine
Place the mixture on a baking tray and put it in the fridge
Meanwhile, let's make the ganache :
Place all of your ingredients into your blender or food processor, blend until it becomes smooth. You will need to add a bit of filter water to make it smooth. Once it is done and you have a rich and creamy chocolate ganache.
Poor the ganache on the top of the brownies.
Optional: I love to sprinkle the top of this brownie with some cacao nibs, Maca powder for the golden look and pecans. but it is totally up to you. Put everything you want. Dried fruits, nothing, fruits powder, fresh berries? At this time of the recipe, it is your call.
Put back the brownies in the fridge for 4 hours or more.
