Hey Steemians! Today I am sharing some of my fave places to "nosh and booze" in the picturesque southern city of Charleston, South Carolina! Hope you enjoy
Mint Juleps and Jambalaya? Yes PLEASE. Charleston has quickly become a hot destination for foodies. As a self-proclaimed foodie myself, I could not wait to try some of this heralded Southern fare. Here are some of my fave go-to spots to nosh and booze when visiting Charleston.
Noshing:
82 Queen: The atmosphere at 82 Queen alone is enough to pay a visit. I went for a late brunch and sat in the darling interior courtyard. Try the Jambalaya or the Crab Eggs Benedict! www.82queen.com
Husk: If you’re a burger lover, you shouldn’t miss lunch at Husk. Their burger is allegedly the best in town. www.huskrestaurant.com
Fig: Serving up an elevated take on traditional Southern fare, Fig is definitely a must try restaurant spot. It has quickly become a Charleston staple and is my personal favorite dinner I had while in Charleston. www.eatafig.com
The Macintosh: Upscale casual farm-to-table dining in the heart of Charleston on King Street. www.themacintoshcharleston.com
Halls Chophouse: Halls does an awesome Gospel Brunch on Sundays and it is such a fun time. Great food, soulful music, amazing service, and libations to cure that Sunday hangover – what more could you ask for? www.hallschophouse.com
Crab Eggs Benedict from 82 Queen
Jambalaya from 82 Queen (YUM)
Boozing:
The Gin Joint: 1920’s themed, serving craft cocktails and light fare in an intimate setting. theginjoint.com
Prohibition: Jazz-age themed, serving craft cocktails and good food and fun energy. www.prohibitioncharleston.com
Stars: Lively Rooftop Bar and Restaurant. www.starsrestaurant.com
There are so many great places to eat and drink in Charleston! Where should I go next time!?
