350 g flour70 g caster sugar3 / 4 tsp salt1 tsp baking powder1 cinnamon powder115 g cold butter2 granny smith apples2 eggs1 tbsp vanilla extract125 g applesauce
For icing:
100 g icing sugar3 tbsp lime juice + zest
Preparation:
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and cinnamon.
Cut the cold butter into pieces and sand the flour mixture until there is no more apparent butter.
Peel the apples, remove the stumps and cut into cubes. Mix them in the bowl with the apples.
In a bowl, beat the eggs, add the applesauce and vanilla extract, mix well and pour into the bowl.
Stir the ingredients together with a maryse.
Prepare a baking sheet covered with a baking sheet or parchment paper.
Sprinkle the plate lightly with flour and form 2 discs of dough 15 cm in diameter and 2 to 3 cm in height.
You can brush the dough with milk and add a little sugar to caramelize more.
Moisten a large knife and cut each disc of dough into 6 equal parts, spreading each part a little.
Put in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Preheat cut oven at 210 ° C and bake for 20 minutes, pass again with the knife to separate the parts, they will swell when cooking.
For the frosting, mix the icing sugar with the lime juice until it is smooth.
Let the scones cool on the plate for 10 minutes, then fill a paper pastry cone with icing and make strokes on each scone. Zest your lime on the frosting and serve.
