Semolina or Rava Pizza which is light and healhty

in #food7 years ago

Hey Dear Steemians.....

I want to share this amazing recipe with you which both kids as well as grown-ups will love. And its super healthy too. The kids will never know what veggies they are eating as this tastes amazing.

Have a look.....

It looks like a pizza but its not.

Take a look at the ingredients...

Rava or semolina or suji (in India we call it suji)

Curd

veggies of your choice( I have put capsicum, grated carrots, onion, beans, spring onion)

green coriander for garnishing

cheese (optional)

1 or 2 green chillies

salt

This is extremely easy to make.

Mix suji with curd to make a batter(it should not be loo liquidy...the consistency should

be so when you hold it on a spoon it stays) .

Leave this batter to rest for 15-20 minutes.

now add finely chopped veggies of your choice to his batter. (Do not add all the veggies . save some for the topping)

add salt, green chilly to it.

Heat a gradle or tawa (as it is called in India). Add some oil to it. Reduce the flame, it should be on medium to low flame else it will burn . Please make sure the tawa is not too hot.

Now pour some batter and spread it evenly on the tawa as shown in the picture. (I used the back of a small even shaped
bowl to spread it.)

Now spread some more veggies on top of it as shown.

Gently press the veggies while the batter is still wet .

spread some oil on the sides as well as on the top.

let it cook on a medium flame for approx 5-7 minutes.

now comes the slightly difficult part...to turn it over. (be careful here not to break it. it might take some practice before you can get it right. :) (TRUST ME IT IS WORTH THE EFFORT)

now let it cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes.

now put it on a plate with the toppings side facing up.

garnish with fresh coriander and cheese .

And its ready to eat...with or without sauce.
