One of the things I find difficult and time consuming is grocery shopping/meal preperation.
I have a very busy schedule, and find it difficult cooking for just one person. (I usually cook too much). Instead of cooking, I end up going to restaurants too often.
In order to simplify things, I thought I would give food kits a try. I am trying out www.gobble.com
They have a good selection to choose from each week, the food is on time and comes fresh and refrigerated, and I think that the price is fair. All meals are prep'd, and take 15 minutes or less to cook.
I currently pay $104/week for four meals for two. My second portion, I save for lunch the next day. Of course, you can choose to have your meals come to feed more people than two for an additional fee per portion. Portioned for two is the smallest however.
Since I have been away from home the last couple days, and didnt have any leftovers, I cooked one at lunch time, and will have the second portion for dinner.
Here is a picture of the finished dish - Lasagne Rolls with Bolognese Sauce and Italian Vegetables.
Each kit comes with a recipe card, and list of required cookware.
Everything comes in it's own bag, already chopped, labeled and ready to go.
The whole thing took me less than 10 minutes, and was delicious!!
The portion size was more than enough, and I will be having the leftovers for dinner tonight. Total price per portion - $13.
Much better quality than a fast food meal, just as quick, and of course, much healthier.

Definitely a good competitor to fast food. I rarely eat fast food although it rains in my mouth every time I cross by one. Good that you shared some broccoli pics because I haven't had any in weeks and I should buy some.
