**A quick guide to making the perfect soft boiled egg. **
(no runny stuff oozing out)
Fill a sauce pot with just enough to cover the eggs...
We will be using eggs fresh from the fridge (this matters).
Bring to a rolling boil...
Slowly lower eggs into the boiling water with a spoon...
Set your timer for 7 minutes (try 6m 30s for slightly softer/runnier eggs)
- This is a good time to make your toast-
When the timer rings, immediately run cold water into the pan until the eggs are cool enough to shell.
Remove shell...
Top with salt, fresh ground pepper and a dash of cayenne if you like a little spice.
stop it man im starving...
I know - I hit you at prime breakfast hour!!! Gotcha
wow bro awesome article
I have a hack which I use to boil my eggs, simply place them in the kettle and put on to boil. Switch on your timer for 15 minutes, once it's boiled it will switch off automatically and after 15 minutes you have a perfect boiled egg, every time.
I wasted so many eggs getting this right. I tried "the perfect three minute egg" and ya know? Three minutes no matter how you cook it is a raw egg. So, when I got it right - I snapped some shots - then ate.
I think I still got the post in time to taunt the 'didn't eat' crowd.
