Hello everyone! Today, I want to share with you a recipe for a pie called Burek. I watched a cooking show and my attention was drawn to this unusual cake in the form of a snail. I found the recipe online. I can't say, that cooking it fast, but the result is worth it. Most work is with the dough. You can use whatever stuffing you want, I did with a chicken breast. So, the ingredients:
For dough:
450 g flour
200 ml of warm water
3 egg yolks
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vinegar 9%
pinch of sugar or powder
FILLING:
600 g chicken breast
100 g cheese
salt, pepper, spices to taste
garlic, onion.
Start with the dough. Warm water should be well mixed with salt, sugar, vinegar and yolks. Then pour the liquid mass on the sifted flour. Knead 2-3 minutes, then pour the vegetable oil and thoroughly knead 10-15 minutes until a uniform lump. Toss a piece of dough, hitting the table, 50-70 times. you will see, how the dough becomes soft. Wrap the ball in plastic wrap and leave at room temperature for 1 hour.
Next, let's prepare the filling. Cut the chicken breast into small pieces, grate cheese on a coarse grater. Fry in a pan onion and garlic in butter, add chicken breast, salt, pepper, spices. Stew until the meat is ready. Remove from heat, add grated cheese.
Cut off a piece of dough, thinly rolled and stretched. On top put the filling and wrap it up, greasing with butter. Then turn the folded "sausage" into a snail. And so do with every layer of dough. Burek top lubricated yolk and cream (yogurt) and put to bake at 180 for approximately 10-20 minutes until golden brown!
Definitely try! The cake turns out very tasty and unusual. I don't even have time to take a photo of the cut pie, so fast we ate it!
Bon appétit!
