Bulgogi

Ingredients

  • 800g marbled tenderloin steak
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 spring onion, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 pear, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 spring onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Preparation

  1. Slice the beef as thinly as you can.
  2. Put it in a large bowl.
  3. In a food processor or blender, put the garlic, pear, spring onions, onion chunks, pepper, soy sauce, brown sugar and sesame oil until smooth.
  4. Put the marinade into the large bowl with beef, then add the sliced onions and mix well. Cover with clingwrap.
  5. Marinate for 30 mins in the fridge.
  6. Heat a skillet over high heat and add the canola oil.
  7. Sear the marinated beef and onions until it becomes brown.
  8. Add sesame oil and spring onions.
  9. Best served with rice.
  10. Enjoy!
