Bulgogi
Ingredients
- 800g marbled tenderloin steak
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 onion, cut into chunks
- 1 spring onion, cut into chunks
- 1/2 pear, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 3 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 spring onions, sliced
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Preparation
- Slice the beef as thinly as you can.
- Put it in a large bowl.
- In a food processor or blender, put the garlic, pear, spring onions, onion chunks, pepper, soy sauce, brown sugar and sesame oil until smooth.
- Put the marinade into the large bowl with beef, then add the sliced onions and mix well. Cover with clingwrap.
- Marinate for 30 mins in the fridge.
- Heat a skillet over high heat and add the canola oil.
- Sear the marinated beef and onions until it becomes brown.
- Add sesame oil and spring onions.
- Best served with rice.
