A great start of a beautiful summers day!
Ingredients
1 cup of blackberries from the garden
1 cup of organic green grapes
1 nectarine
1 celery stalk
a little chunk of ginger
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 banana
1 avocado
Β½ cup of water
I use cinnamon because it's so effective in reducing blood sugar and reducing the risk for developing type 2 diabetes. Several studies has shown that cinnamon reduce fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol, triglycerides, and βbadβ LDL cholesterol, while raising βgoodβ HDL cholesterol. And of course, it also tastes great!
I use avocado mainly due to it's monounsaturated fatty acids, known to improve fasting and average blood glucose and lower insulin resistance.
The gingerol in the ginger is a powerful anti-inflammatory and will help you with digestion and boost your immune system.
The butylphthalide in the celery will reduce all that bad cholesterol in your body.
Blackberries are packed with vitamins and antioxidants and have numerous health benefits.
Never forget to include fiber-rich vegetables in your smoothies to balance the sugar in the fruit. Enjoy!

Man, that looks gooooood :)) I'd love to have a garden.., but living in Hells Kitchen, just a few blocks from Times Square, makes it kinda tough. Maybe a move is in order, hmmmm... Thanks for the post @steemswede
Nice organic recipe, yay!
Mmmmm! Looks delicious! Looks like we both have blackberries on the brain today, too. Now I wish I hadn't used all mine up for my recipe.
