Craving something chocolatey for Valentine’s Day??? These are really easy one bowl brownies that are super quick to whip up. I made them the other day when I had a craving, and you don’t need any chocolate, so they are kinder to the waste line.
You can easily half the recipe and use a 8x8 inch pan
1 cup (250g)Butter melted
2 cups Sugar
3/4 cup flour
6 Heaped Tablespoons Cocoa
2 teaspoon vanilla
4 eggs
1/2 tsp baking powder
Optional: Heart shaped cookie cutter
- Preheat the oven to 175’C 350’F
- Grease a 9x13 inch pan
- Whisk the melted butter and sugar together (you can also use a wooden spoon)
once mixed well, add your eggs and vanilla beat well - Add the flour, cocoa and baking powder. Gently combine, do not over mix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan
- Bake for +/- 20-25 minutes (I think I baked mine for 21 in a thermafan oven)
!!!!! Note Don’t over bake the brownies. When the skewer comes out with wet crumbs, not quite batter, they are done. Test the outer edges as well as the middle, the outside cooks faster then the middle . They do seem to become firmer once they cool.
These is the perfect treat if you are looking for something for valentines day, and with the heart shaped cookie cutter they are super cute. I hope you enjoy them and please let me know how they turn out.
