Lantern festival is the end of Chinese Lunar New Year celebration. The festival means nearly two weeks' long CNY celebration finally comes to an end. Life must go on as normal.
Due to covid, we stopped visiting friends in the past couple years, but now, with cases drop in our area, we decided to get together with friend again this year to celebration Lantern festival.
Friend's husband is a good cook. He prepared all these dishes by himself, how lucky my friend is! We really enjoyed the dinner and social time we had together. It's been too long! Highlight of the dinner was rice ball soup.
There are different types of rice ball in the market. This one had sashimi inside. Rice ball is round and sweet. It means complete and sweet life. One must have for many festivals in China.
