Why I Like Cooking!

in #food8 years ago

Here are just a few of the basic reasons why I like talking about foods, recipes, sharing anything that has anything to do with these topics and most importantly WHY I LIKE COOKING!

1 - It helps me relieve the stress that builds up.

I have 4 kids and a husband, need I say any more!

2 - I have learned that there are unlimited opportunites as far as foods and recipes go, so it never gets boring, especially with all the recipes and information on the internet today.

3 - Which leads me to the fact that I am learning from others and when sharing helping other s learn, so in a way I am helping out in the teaching process.
Makes me feel good when I share stuff!

4 - It is never too early or too late to be thinking about or talking about foods, it is a universal language and topic of discussion!

5 - It is FUN to have foods and topics related to foods on the discussion list, no matter where and with who, it always makes a good fun topic to discuss.

THERE, THESE ARE MY 5 TOP REASONS WHY I LIKE TALKING ABOUT FOODS AND WHY I LIKE COOKING!

Simple as that.

These are pretty similar to my reasons for loving cooking (and food). I started to cook more as a form of therapy during recover from an illness. Not knowing too much didn't stop me, but I didn't stay not knowing much for long with all the wonderful resources available online and a willingness to learn.

So for me it's a form or relaxation and recovery. A form of therapy. A way to provide food for myself and others. And has allowed me to understand other people's needs better through adapting for diet, allergy and intolerance needs.

Keep cooking!

I agree with you that it relieves stress. Being a military family, there is nothing better that watching your family enjoy a home cooked meal you have prepared. We share the #1 answer!

For me cooking is like meditation. It takes my mind off everyday life and a great way to feel healthy (I try my best to eat and cook healthy). And being veggie, Im always excited to try new recipes too =D

Well cooking is actually fun when you are not hungry. Lol

I love to cook also. It's a bit more challenging these days to come up with somethin' new as my wife and I have become over the last couple of years more vegetarian/ fruitarian sooooooooooooo .... I suppose you get my meaning.
