Have you ever eaten Khao Kluk Gapi or Shrimp-paste fried rice?
If, not, I would like to recommend you to try it when you visit Thailand. It is one of the most delicious traditional Thai foods that you must not miss!
Thai foods is normally well-known as “spicy”, but you will not find that taste in Khao Kluk Gapi. For me, I love to add chilies to my plate to make it more delicious!
There are various ingredients or topping that have a lot of benefits!
Starting from....
Rice which is stir fried with shrimp paste
Fried omelet
Sweet pork
Long beans, mango, shallots, limes, chilies
Hot soup is usually served with this plate.
p.s. I : Normally, fried shrimp should be added to Khao Kluk Gapi but the seller didn't add fried shrimp to my plate yesterday.
p.s. II : When I was a little child, my mother usually cooked Khao Kluk Gapi for all of us during weekend or special occasion like New Year. I love my mother's cooking especially for this dish, really delicious!
p.s. III : I think it's very easy for cooking Khao Kluk Gapi as I usually helped my mother prepare for the cooking in the old days.... I shall try to cook it by myself someday!
Even though, I'm not good at cooking, I think, it's a good challenge! ;D
