Just a quicky post. I'm heading out to grocery shopping soon π Mommy's life. School tomorrow, gotta get supplies, just like every other weekends π This is the only time I get to dress up, spray perfume on, GROCERY shopping π€£π€£π€£π€£

My car didn't wanna start earlier, and it's only -26C! Good gosh. Whenever we had the heater setting to number 3 and higher, for sure the car didn't wanna start with the automatic keyfob. Meh. So had to go out in the cold, to turn it on. Lol
Anyways! Quicky post, right π€£
Nasi Uduk (Coconut rice)
2 c rice
1 can coconut milk (400ml)
1/4 c water
1 lemongrass
2 salam leaves (Indonesian bay leaf)
2 kafir lime leaves
1 thumb ginger
1/2 tbsp chicken bouillon powder
Rinse clean rice, then place everything into Instant Pot pot, and click rice option, it will only take 12 mins!
Fluff the rice and serve with everything else π
Perkedel (potato nuggets)
8 potatoes, cubed, fried
1 small onion
5 garlic
White pepper powder to taste
Chicken bouillon powder to taste
Freshly grated nutmeg to taste
2-3 egg whites, beaten
Oil for frying
Turn onion and garlic into fine paste
While fried cubed potatoes still hot, mash them nicely then add in with flavoring, shape into nuggets
Roll nuggets on beaten eggwhites, then fry til golden brown on hot oil, over medium heat
Tempe Goreng (fried tempeh)
1 block of tempeh
Salt to taste
Garlic powder to taste
Turmeric powder, and pinch
A little water (1/3 c at least)
On a bowl, dilute flavoring in enough water
Slice tempeh, and coat them on flavored water, then fry until golden brown
Semur (chicken in sweet soy sauce)
1 tbsp diced onion
4 garlic, thinly sliced
1 tbsp unsalted butter
600 g cubed chicken breast, boneless, skinless
1-2 c water
Chicken bouillon powder to taste
Ground white pepper to taste
Freshly grated nutmeg to taste
Cherry tomatoes, a handful
Sweet soy sauce to taste (kecap manis)
Melt butter and saute onion and garlic til soften, then stir in cubed chicken. Cook until whitish.
Pour in water, continue cooking for 5-8 mins
Season, then pour in tomatoes, cook for another 5 mins
Acar (fresh cucumber salad)
Cucumber
Carrots
Onion, garlic, thinly sliced
Bird eye chilies, as many as you like
Enough water
Vinegar to taste
Salt to taste
Sugar to taste
Measurement of how many cucumbers, carrots, is up to you. Slice or cut them, into matchstick or regular slice is fine. For the onion, about 1 small, and 3 garlic. Place them into a large bowl. Leave the red chilies whole. Chilies won't make the salad hot as they are not slices, but the chilies will be soften in time. If you like hot, slice them.
Pour enough water to cover them, flavor with sugar, salt and vinegar. You want sweet and vinegary result.
For serving:
Beef floss
Sambal (hot sauce)
Kerupuk (traditional crackers/chips)
You can serve the rice with everything listed but beef floss, sambal, and kerupuk, and it would be totally fine. The rest 3 things, I bought them online π
