Hi There!
My youngest is so excited for today as his school has a dress up day, and today the theme is dress like a teacher day. He has prepared a tie and a shirt since yesterday 🤣 The whole house though, is super excited for afternoon movie time. Dog Man is playing in cinema. If you know/like the book, you might want to watch the movie too 😊
I bought 8 beef shanks in bones the other day. I turned 4 of them into slow cooker pot roast, while the other 4 I cooked them in instant pot, which I will be sharing the recipe as well, some other time.
For today, it's the slow cooker version 😊
1/2 c flour
1 tbsp chicken bouillon powder
A pinch or two white pepper powder
2 box beef shanks with bones (4 in total)
2 tomatoes
2 celery
A bunch or coriander leaves
2 large potatoes
4-5 long carrots
1 medium onion
2 bay leaves
1 tbsp chicken bouillon powder
1 tbsp crushed parsley
2 tbsp tomato paste
300 ml chicken broth
200 ml vegetable broth
Mix flour and chicken bouillon powder on a plate, and coat beef shanks, then brown them on a tbsp or two of peanut oil
Mean while, peel and slice onion, carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, celery, and coriander leaves
Once beef shanks are browned, place them in a slow cooker
Using the same pan and leftover grease, saute sliced onion and bay leaves, then add them into slow cooker as well, along with sliced veggies
Season, add in paste and broth, mix a little, then set to cook on high for 4-6 H
Ready to be served and enjoy ❤️
