Good Morning,
Hope this finds you well. It's been warm since yesterday. Would have been nice to enjoy it, to open all windows to exhange the air, to go out to the forest, but nope. I've been too busy going here and there since the 20th, and again today will be as well, as my husband's been staying at the hospital 😩 That man is rarely sick, but once sick, there he goes, staying for days at the hospital 😬
So today's recipe will be brief, as I have to head out soon to visit him. A nice and simple teacake or tea bread today.
3 c flour
4 tsp BP
1 tsp salt
1 c sugar
1 1/2 c milk
2 tbsp peanut oil
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 c walnut halves
Chop walnut halves and set aside
Mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a bowl
Grease a pan or a loaf pan set to side, and preheat oven to 375 F
On a clean bowl, mix milk, eggs, oil, and vanilla essence
Mix dry and wet ingredients, then fold in walnuts. Batter will be thick.
Spread batter onto pan, and bake for at least an H
Slice and enjoy!
