Vitamin D is integral to the healthy functioning of your body, that acts like a hormone in the body. Having optimal levels can considerably improve a number of factors and every single cell has a receptor for its uptake.
The body synthesises it in the skin from sunlight using cholesterol. Unfortunately, however with winter around the corner and many other elements negatively affecting our levels, it is easy to become deficient.
So we can support our bodies efforts by including foods that contain this powerful vitamin, above I have included a list of foods suitable to all dietary groups.
