WINTER DIET SYNDROM

in #food7 years ago

I want to share an experience that talks about our eating habits. When our seasons changes is important to eat according to the season, in winter time we need to eat more calories rather than in summer, for example we use to drink more hot chocolate when is cold, right? Almost every day, but what happens when is hot all day and we consume chocolate every day? maybe drinking a cold chocolate drink is too much to digest, every pounds counts and then you turn eating chocolate a habit and now it turns out that is more hard to reduce your fat. What we should do? Reduce the quantity, change your habits every season and go slow. I know is not easy, but is important to try and realize what we are eating.

I can tell you my experience about this; maybe I figured it out because I come for a Caribbean weather and I could realize why I gained weight when normally this is a very hard thing to accomplish for me. When I experienced a student exchange program, my weather turns out to be quite different: four seasons. Not what I´m used to. When I arrived to the US it was summer, so I ate like I normally would do it, because there was no much difference on the degrees temperatures. But, in fall I started to eat ramen noodles every night and I don´t know about you but it has too much calories to digest. When cold came it wasn´t that bad, I could handle the weather, so I keep eating it, just like that. After a while my diet was the same, eat ramen noodles, pork sandwiches, egg sandwiches and whatever tasty things with a lot of calories.

Summer came again, I gained weight and was a surprise, I didn´t realize what happened until I came back home and changed my eating habits. So easy, I just changed everything I ate and change my weight again for the best. I know that every experience is different for everyone, but I just wanted to leave this post here in order to pop out ideas about it, because weather is changing soon and is a good time to start thinking about it, especially for our health.
